Durham’s new Modular Transitional Housing in Beaverton redefines modular housing. Designed by Montgomery Sisam Architects, the 47 prefabricated suites were built for rapid delivery, consistent quality, and reduced emissions.
Two connected buildings balance privacy and community, with residences alongside dining, workrooms, wellness support, and outdoor amenities. Inspired by its Lake Simcoe setting, the design’s sloped roofs, cedar cladding, and light-filled interiors create housing that is sustainable, inviting, and connected – creating a true home for its residents.
