Backed by new investment, CABN’s Brockville manufacturing plant is set for a major expansion. The upgrade will introduce robotics and automation to supercharge production of sustainable, prefab homes. Mike Winterfield, founder of Active Impact Investments, told The Energy Mix, “When we looked at CABN, we saw something that was already in market with very happy customers and a big pipeline of people who’d signed up to a waiting list.”
Once complete, the upgraded facility will be capable of delivering over 552,000 square feet of climate-smart housing each year – a milestone that could reshape how Canada tackles its housing crisis and bring affordable, net-zero living within reach.
