The University of Victoria is embedding real-world learning into its campus expansion with a net-zero, mass-timber “living laboratory” that integrates education directly into the built environment.
Designed by DIALOG, the High Bay Research & Structures Lab (HBRSL) functions as both an academic facility and a real-time research platform, using embedded sensors to monitor structural and seismic performance, envelope heat loss, air quality, and more.
