Futurpreneur is Canada’s only national, non-profit organization dedicated to empowering and supporting entrepreneurs by providing them with the funding and mentorship they need to turn their dreams into thriving businesses. Through various programs that include the Black Entrepreneur Startup Program (BESP), the Indigenous Entrepreneur Startup Program (IESP), and the Side Hustle program, Futurpreneur has been a driving force behind the diversification of Canada’s economy, helping to establish more than 15,000 businesses nationwide.
Through the implementation of a multifaceted communications strategy, Idea Workshop has been able to support Futurpreneur’s communication efforts to boost awareness about their programs through selective media placements, interviews, proactive pitching, strategic partnerships, media training, and content development for sponsored features.
Our results have included earned media in top tier media outlets, including CBC, The Globe and Mail, National Post, CityNews TV, Global Montreal, special features in The Toronto Star and Kingston Life Magazine, and sponsored content in the Daily Hive Vancouver and Narcity. Through localized, targeted pitching, we were also able to secure media features with local publications including the Kingstonist, BC Business, and Diversity TV among others.
