The Reimagine University Avenue project aims to bring life and vibrancy to “Hospital Row” and University Avenue through lighting, landscape, artwork and interactive programming of the median park along downtown Toronto’s main artery. Idea Workshop was engaged on a pro bono basis to develop a communications plan including media relations and ongoing social media program to entice the public, celebrate local healthcare workers and bring joy to the patients and staff residing in the adjacent buildings, ultimately helping The Friends of University Avenue to foster a strong sense of community in the heart of the city.
We successfully orchestrated a series of earned media placements in local, national and international publications and supported the ongoing fundraising and community building activities that continue to make the program a huge success.
